@WhatMaeBee:  Are you planning on trying on what they have? Or getting a quote for a custom ring?

@WhatMaeBee:  I’m not really much help because I sent Fiance by himself to get my ering, but it took me all of 10 minutes to try on a whole bunch of wedding bands the other day. I’m fairly decisive though, and I knew right away that I did not like most of the bands. I think picking a stone would take me a lot longer though, because there are so many factors. A setting is pretty much yay or nay for me, while stones can be “ranked” according to their stats and prices. I think it would take me awhile to come up with that ranking, especially if they have a lot of choices. Custom rings would take a lot of back and forth or a picture to get it right. I’m sure another bee will have good advice though.

Everytime my Fiance met with our jeweller he was there for at least an hour, once for almost three hours. I probably would give yourself an hour and a half with each appointment just to be on the safe side.

I would take a 1.5 to 2 hour time for each, depending on where you have to go afterwards. You are in NY and using a taxi will be expensive and waiting for one after each place will eat up time. Parking will be an issue if you are driving to the places yourself.

Remember lunch and snacks! You don’t want to be hungry and bit chy!

@WhatMaeBee:  IF you are going in the city go to ID Jewelry and speak with Yeuketiel OR GoodoldGold…ID Jewelry has amazing prices. You don’t really make an appointment, you kind of just go in, timing is up to you.

@WhatMaeBee:  When my FH and I looked at e-rings last year, we were at each place for at least an hour.  After 3 appointments, I was exhausted and we actually ended up cancelling our 4th.  That being said, don’t book too many appointments in one day!
