likely 1.5-2, but didn’t vote because it’s not certain yet

18 months (almost exactly!), there wasn’t really a poll option for this though 🙁 (more than a year or more than 18 months, I chose more than a year but ~18 months should be an option because it’s a fairly common timeframe :-)!!!)

We got engaged on August 31st, and got married on May 13th. BUT we didn’t start planning until December, so we really planned it in 5.5 months!

A little under 4 months.  The thought of spending any longer than that on wedding planning is painful to me, but I’ve never been a “wedding person” so I knew a short engagement was the way to go 🙂

It will be a bit over 2 years for us. We got engaged in May 2012 and we will be married in 2014 around our original anniversary of when we had our first date. So we will be married on our 4 year anniversary. I wish I was as blessed as some folks on here who have help financially from relatives and/or their work situation is great. We have to save up for everything ourselves… Other than that I would not change anything! I am so happy that I have been able to book vendors and a venue that had a pretty open schedule to suite me. If you don’t care when or where you get married because you have the funds, then you can easily have a short engagement. Still, I told my Fiance we would not be married right away if we got engaged. We like to take our time. He was so excited when we recently booked the venue and sent out our save the dates because it means we are finally making this happen. The one negative about having a long engagement is that EVERYONE asks when you are getting married everytime they see you, hahaha! I was getting tired of saying “I dunno”, and that people always wonder why you aren’t flying down the aisle like they would… It’s called money!

    9 months and 4 days!

We decided 2 months into the engagement that we would set a date.   I like the fact that it’s a fast engagement – If I had to think about all of this crap for 1-2 years I would jump out a window.
