- Wedding: June 2010
How long does it usually take for a vendor to get you a price quote?
The venue we chose has a contract with only one caterer. Which worries me since you are stuck with them and what they can and can’t do. However last Tuesday we met with the head of catering for them and he was willing to work with our “vision” of the wedding food. In fact he had ideas and helpful tips. He was however not overly personable and fairly stoic for a wedding vendor. Some people are like that though.
So we left happy and excited. I heard him say he’d work on it the next day and email us. My fiancée didn’t hear that but we figured he’d be timely about it. However it has been one week today and still no word from him. I know our wedding is not until next June but we need the price quote to work on the rest of our budget since we are stuck with this caterer and not able to price haggle with what we want.
We called, left messages and emailed him. He called and left messages playing phone tag but as of yet, no emails which is how he was going to give us the quote. Is it because our wedding isn’t as expensive as others? Comparatively our budget is tiny.
So my question is how long is too long? We are worried that if this is how we are treated now is it an indication of how we’ll be treated later?
