I used to have a 90-minutes each-way commute, and it was HELL. Just awful. Moving in with my then-FI didn’t change it, but it did keep me from deciding to move closer to work. Now I have a 5-10 minute commute each way and my life is significantly better.

I drive 40 minutes on a good day up to an hour twenty on a bad day.  It definitely takes up a big chunk of my day but we can’t really afford to move closer without living in serious crackhead territory or in a studio apartment.

About 35 minutes to work and 45 coming home, due to different traffic flow 🙂

I used to live in an area that took me 40 minutes to go 12 miles to my office. I moved and now my office is still 12 miles away and it only takes me 10 minutes.

I can honestly say it has improved my way of life.

I ride on the train 1.5 hours each way … I moved in with Fiance when I got a new job, my old commute was 20 minutes driving and would have become 45 minutes by train so yeah I definitely increased it by moving in with Fiance (and his commute is only 10 minutes driving)!!  But the tradeoff is minimal driving since I take the train, and it is so so worth it, both to live with him and to get to my fantastic job.

I lived about 15 minutes (on back roads – no traffic) prior to getting engaged and moving in with my fiance, who lives in the next county over.  Now my commute is about 50 minutes on a highway with ridiculous traffic…but he has a house and a son he can’t move away from, and my job is with one of the best companies to work for in the area, so it’s worth it.

Granted, my fiance works 2 minutes away from the house, so I do get a little jealous when he leaves at 6:45 for his job that starts at 7, and I leave at 6:45 for my job that starts at 8.

Mine is actually about an hour and a half.  We live in the town where Fiance is finishing up college, and I work an hour and a half away.  It’s actually FI’s hometown where I work, so as soon as he is done with school in December, we are moving again.  Hopefully into St. Louis.

I live about 15 minutes from my various offices.  I travel around, so it depends on what office I’m going to that day.  DH walks to work every day!!  Lucky man… he lives close to work and gets his workout in…

In the morning it’s about 45mins, going back home it’s about 1hour. I crochet when I’m on the bus and go on the Bee with my phone and that makes my time go by much faster.

About a minute, just need to walk down the stairs into my “office”. I work from home… Now when I do actually have to go into work it is about a 15 minute drive.

My recently jumped to about 40 minutes since we bought our house.  But most of the traffic that makes it long are the one lane roads at the very end of the commute.  They get crazy backed up and there is no way to avoid it.

Depends on the time of day (traffic/red lights) – between 15 minutes and a half an hour.
