45 minutes on a good day. Upwards of 2 hours on a bad day (think *normal* winters in Upstate, NY). Thankfully Darling Husband and I work for the same company so we get to make the trek together. We used to have a shorter commute when we were living only about 20 minutes away but we moved farther north to a much better area so now our commute is longer.

My commute is a 20-25 minute (depending on the shoes I’m wearing) walk to work. It has been amazing. We moved out of the suburbs and moved downtown near to both of our jobs. I wish we could stay here forever, but we are currently house hunting back in the ‘burbs near our families. It has been awesome, though!

I’m about 15 minutes via bus & a short walk. It’s about 25-30 minutes when I walk home. A short commute is very important to me and I am grateful I have one!

@shooting_star5711: I use to live in Carbondale! My Darling Husband and I met at SIU.
Mine is 35-45 minutes depending on the traffic. I am ready for a reduction.

I didn’t vote… My commute is over an hour each way. It’s public transportation though so as long as I get a seat I can read/blog/play games on my iphone… 😀
It’s okay, but I am hoping to one day have a shorter commute!

I wish there was an option for over an hour. I live in Chicago and commute to the suburbs. My commute is anywhere from an hour to two hours depending on traffic. It’s been averaging 1:15 minutes lately. It’s 25 miles, btw.

I have a 10 minute walk! So pleasant to get exercise and fresh air after being in the office all day!

I’m very lucky. I live less than 3 miles from where I work!

It varies from 35 minutes with no traffic to an hour and ten minutes with traffic. An average of about 45 minutes.

Back & forth to work is about 20-30 minutes (ridiculous because it is like 6 mi away)
But I am in school 3 nights a week and it is an hour drive each way!! Which SUCKS. Especially since our teacher has been letting us go after a freaking half hour!!
Sorry-had to vent real quick lol!!

I’ve been out of work since December but my commute was 45min-1hr…but in this area, I was lucky to have a job in my field at all…but I didn’t realize how much time it really takes out of your day to commute so far!
