My commute in NY was 17miles away.  It took me 75 minutes by train.

Now, my commute in SC is about 17 miles, also.  It takes me 25mins door-to-door by car.  What a difference.

I only drive about 20-25 minutes now. But when I was in college I would commute about 30-45 minutes. 30 minutes if I was really racing and there was no traffic. Close to 45 with traffic and parking, etc. It can be done. My mom commuted an hour each way for years, and my dad does a ton of commuting now too.

Ugh mine is way too far/long – usually 90 minutes 🙁 But I love my job, so we’re making it work! We’re going to be moving after the wedding, which should make things a lot easier.

My job is about 30 miles away, 30-40 minute drive in the morning, 40-60 in the evening (traffic…). It can sometimes be annoying because of the time wasted in the car, but I like to sing on the top of my lungs while driving (which I can’t do in my apartment) so it can be fun sometimes.

It depends on traffic.  On a good day I can be to work in 20min, and on a bad day it takes me nearly an hour!

About 30 miles/ 45 minutes each way. Honestly, I’ve done 90+ minute commutes before. 45 minutes is easy.

My job is about 2 miles away, so it’s a 10 minute drive and a 40 minute walk. There’s nowhere to park at work that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg, so FI drives me when he can and I walk the rest of the time.

Currently I am placed at an elementary school 16 miles away. It’s a 30 minute drive each way – but that is only because I am going against the flow of rush hour. It would be hell if I had to commute in the other direction. Right now I don’t mind it. I couldn’t do much more than 30 minutes though.

5 minutes by car, and my last job was 15 minutes. However, I walk now and depending on what building I’m at that day (I’m a graduate student working in a lab), it takes me 15-25 minutes to walk it. Anything more than that in either car or on foot and I’d be nuts, but I hate traffic lol.

I work 8 miles from my house. The commute can be anywhere from 8-20 minutes depending on how bad the traffic is that day. Usually, it’s about 15 minutes.

5 minute drive, 8 minute bike ride.  One of the benefits of living in a smallish town 🙂

27 miles isn’t tooo bad for your dream job!  Only you can decide if that’s too far or not.  I would probably say it’s fine for my dream job.
