We are going for a week in august after the wedding (somewhere local) and then three weeks (overseas) in december, it will give us time to pay everything up for the wedding that hasnt been paid for and also give us time to save for spending money and accrue more leave up at work 🙂

We’re going to Hawaii. I would love to go for two weeks that would be just so ideal. Unfortunetly we don’t have that much money. His Future Father-In-Law is paying for our hotel tho. Fiance wants to go like 5 nights in case their are flight delays.

Where are you going for your honeymoon?

We’re doing 10 nights to St. Lucia. Fiance wanted 2 full weeks but we decided to leave the Monday after our Sat. wedding so we oculd at least spend Sunday with Out of Town guests and since we need to fly home after the wedding, we gave ourselves one day leway incase of delays and one day recovery once we get home.

Oh I wish it were more than a week, but Fiance gets 1 week off/year and gets an additional week for a honeymoon.  Since we have to fly from Seoul-Toronto, have the wedding, and have a honeymoon, we’ve got 5 days max for a honeymoon.  We’re going to Vancouver since we have a stop over there.  Using our stop over as our honeymoon was basically the only way to have a honeymoon.

We’ll be in Australia for 9 days but with travel time and timezone changes, it’s an additional 2 days, so the full Honeymoon process will be 11 days.  Plus,we’re getting married out of town, so the amount we’ll be away from home for the wedding & Honeymoon is a little over 2 wks (16 days)

1 week is great. I’ve done 10 day vacations and it’s just TOO MUCH for me. I get antsy and as much as I love a good vacation, I kinda wanna come home after a week. 10 days is too much for me. A week was the perfect amount of time for us. We’re going to Cancun in march for 5 days, 4 nights and consider that a good length of time for a smaller trip though. But, we went to the Dominican Republic. If we’d done ANY traveling besides a plane trip, I think we’d want longer. I was in the UK for a week and the time change alone is enough to mess with you; i can see wanting longer if your travel time is longer and/or you’ll be visiting more than one place. So yeah, a week for “domestic-ish” type trips that are relatively close. Especially if all you do is sit on your tush, read books, and drink pina coladas like we did =]

We’re doing a minimoon right after the wedding in SF and Northern California wine country. I won’t be able to go out of the US for a while but we’ll for sure have a bigger Honeymoon later.

We aren’t having a honeymoon–I’ll be in the clinical portion of my medical school training and I just don’t get any time off and it was more important to us to get married now rather than to wait until some future time when we could plan better for that. We’re taking some “pre-moon” trips this year–this weekend at a quaint little island town and Orlando/Disneyworld in March. We’d love to get away after the wedding, but instead we’ll be spending the rest of the weekend with our Out of Town friends and family and will plan a bigger trip for the next year or two once I find out when I might be able to take some time. We’re thinking Italy/South of France or perhaps Argentinian wine country!
