Ok, so Fiance and I want to try to have a baby right after the wedding. I have 2 kids from a previous marriage. I have been on Yaz for the last 6 years and have been taking it continuously with no breaks or period. Now that I am off of it, I thought I would get a cycle right away. Nope. Still waiting. I want to have my cycle figured out for when we do start TTC because it will help to know when I ovulate.
Does anyone know when to expect a cycle after going on BCP that you were taking contiuously?

it’s different for every person. some people get a period right away, some people get crazy long periods, and some people don’t. i’ve heard some people say 4-6 months.
i would wait 2 months. if still no period, call your doctor.

I’d ask your doctor about how long you should wait.

Whenever I’ve gone off of the pill I’ve had a period right away, like normal, and then it stops for a few months, then my skin breaks out and my period starts to become more normal, yet not regular. So, it really depends on how your body processes the hormones and how long it takes to clear out of your system. Ask your doctor if you’re concerned about it.

I’ve heard it can be up to 6 months sometimes. But it all depends on the person. Your dr. should be able to help you figure out if something’s wrong.
