If your period is late due to pregnancy, the test would be positive.

Were you tracking ovulation? It’s likely that you ovulated later than you think and that your period isn’t actually late just yet!

This is not my experience but my friends, she wasnt tracking her cycles but was trying. Her period was late by a week before she got a positive on a test, which means she must have ovulated later than usual. Do you track?

By posting here, you are in the presence of women who meticulously track their cycles.  Therefore, I will tell you, you haven’t technically “missed your period” since you’re not getting a positive test.  You likely ovulated later than you thought or your LP just extended by a few days.

If you don’t use OPKs, basal body temperature, etc to estimate ovulation (apps don’t tell you anything without adding exra data),  I recommend testing once a week until AF comes or you get a BFP.

My guess would be that you’re not actually late. You’re just having a longer cycle than usual.  The best thing to do would be to retest in a few days if you still don’t get your period.

With my first pregnancy I had a negative test foreverrrrr. Even my blood tests came back negative. Doctor said some people are just like that.

This pregnancy, I got a BFP 3 weeks after conception. Never got my periods after my first baby back though
