@phishy179:  tagging this to see responses, I’m trying to plan my day of timeline too.

I’ve heard to leave 30 minutes alone for getting into your dress, especially with corseted dresses.  It can take a while for someone to lace it up properly, and will certainly take longer than when your seamstress does it.

You need to talk to your photographer, it’s not a question anyone here can give you definitive answer to.  Only the photographer will have an idea of how much time they will need in your timeline to cover particular events.

my getting ready pictures took about 30 minutes. i did the majority of my hair and makeup at home and put on my dress/accessories and did the final touch ups when i got to the church. but my dress just zipped up in the back, so it only took a second to put on.

we didn’t do first look pictures, so i can’t really help you there. but i can tell you that my photographer liked to allow 20-30 minutes for the pictures of just my husband and i after the ceremony.

I think it too me about 30 minutes, or photographer too pictures of the ladies getting ready in robes, then they got dressed then I got dressed.

Ask your photgrapher. I went over this with mine and end up moving around the makeup time and what time the bridesmaids get dressed based on her responses.

I ask for at least an hour to shoot not only getting ready but detail shots of the dress etc as well. I’m expecting to submit weddings for publication though so that may be longer than average.
