How long should save the date videos be?

Hi there – so sorry you got mean comments! I would be happy and excited to watch a 30 second video. Sometimes I don’t even get through my own 3:30 recap wedding video 🙂 

Do you have a wedding website? I would post it there in addition to mailing paper save the dates.

I would watch a SHORT video (maybe 30 sec, 1 min max) but I know a lot of people who would fuss about receiving a non-traditional save the date. And sure, I myself would rather have a cute postcard I can pin on the fridge, too. I don’t have anything AGAINST a video, but we all like habit and tradition I guess. 

If it were me, I’d still do traditional save the dates, cut down the video to MAYBE 2 minutes, and show it at the wedding reception. Or if you want to get fancy, have it or some slideshow looping on a small monitor or fancy photo frame in the entry area of the venue where people like to put pictures of the couple, guest book, etc.
