Just wondering how long it took everyone to get their pro photos. I’m not worried that my photographer will bail – she is highly professional – I’m just dying to see the pictures. To the point of actually feeling worried about how it will change my perception of the entire day! Since it’s the only thing we’ll have to remember the wedding by (and most of it was a blur) I’m getting antsy wondering if I will hate how I looked in the photos, lol.
I know it sounds silly. I’ve seen phone/facebook pics and the more I look at them, the more critical I get. Initially I was thrilled with every last detail of the wedding, including my dress and veil. Now I’m going over everything again and feeling unsatisfied. I really hope the professional pics will bring out all the best in all the details and how we looked, but part of me is agonizing that they won’t and it’ll taint the memory of the wedding for me!!
Maybe I should have changed the poll to something more related to this post and my actual worries, lol. Feel free to also comment on how your pics shaped your perception of the wedding and do you still love them (or hate them?) as time goes by….!

- Wedding: October 2013 - Vine Street Church
Not married yet, but our engagement pics took about a month. We didn’t have a sneak peek because our photographer uses film instead of digital.

- Wedding: November 2012 - Oak Tree Manor
We waited almost exactly a month. Our photographer had an amazing turnaround time 🙂
ETA: I wouldn’t worry too much if I were you – phone pictures almost always suck, they’re taken with much poorer quality cameras, they aren’t edited, and most people don’t know how to compose photos the way pro photogs do. Almost all of the guest photos from our wedding were meh, nothing to write home about – but I L-O-V-E every single one of our pro photos. I’m sure you’ll be happy when you finally get your hands on those!!

Congratulations! We just received the digital copies of our pictures last week so approximately 7 weeks after the wedding. We’re still waiting on the flushmount album though.

I’m a wedding photographer and deliver the sneak peek within TWO DAYS. I believe it is very important to deliver sneak peeks as fast as possible, because I can really relate to the bridal couple who are dying to see some pics. Then after the sneak peek, it takes me about 3 weeks to get the rest done and send it to them on dvd. I’m not a full time photographer, but I do have another 40h/week job, so I just work really hard to get happy customers 😉
