We’ve just arranged a date to go and put down our deposit on our venues, and I’m super excited about it! Especially the food/drink, I think it sounds awesome. But I was wondering about timing. What we’re serving is:
Ceremony at half three, champagne toast served immediately after
Afternoon tea at the evening venue, consisting of pink lemonade, finger sandwiches, handmade scones (with jam and cream), selection of cakes, homemade shortbread and tea/coffee.
For the evening guests, we’re having hot pork sandwiches with apple sauce, stuffing, coleslaw and a side of chip.s
Then later on we’re going to serve cake.
I haven’t been to all that many weddings, so I was wondering, what’s the best way to space out the food? I was thinking afternoon tea at half five, then the pork sandwiches at around half seven, with cake at about eight/half eight – but I don’t know. Would you be hungry if you had to wait that long? How long should the gap between food be?
