I’ve heard that you should kiss twice just in case.

We did at least 3 seconds and our photog STILL didn’t get it. But, any longer than 3 seconds seemed really awkward.

I think 2 kisses for 3 seconds each, pausing between to smile at one another.

Honestly we kissed normal like no one was watching…nothing timed or planned, and the pics came out natural and nice.  I think you’ll find you’re kind of in the zone when it happens…too wrapped up for counting 🙂

@Miss Tattoo: Yea…I got it…we didn’t really practice, and the hubby just went for it.  I mean there are pics where the minister is LAUGHING!!!  But they were natural and so US.  I don’t think you would want to stage a kiss, yanno?

Yeah, I don’t want to french kiss in front of 100 people and who kisses for 10 seconds without using a little tongue?

I would be careful about trying to plan it too much… don’t you just want to enjoy the moment? I think having to count “1…2…3, ok stop. Look at him, smile, kiss again… 1…2…3” would be kind of a buzzkill.

Just go with it.

I dont really know how long to kiss! We had 2 photographers so if one hadnt gotten it the other would have. We kissed once for several seconds and then we kept kissing little kisses right after – maybe 2 more kisses.

@Miss Tattoo: Ok I totally went middle school too in order to practice my 3 second pause 3 second kiss…..um yeah… AWKWARD.

I say just go with what feels right at the moment. You probably won’t even care that other people are there at the time. You are going to be so full of emotion at that second and won’t have time to over analyze it.

Yeah….my husband and I kissed for a long time..my photog got like 8 shots and whats funny is we stayed in a kissing embrase so all of them look the same.

Our style of kissing wasn’t sloppy, but rather sweet, so even though I do think we pushed the envelope on the length of time (overall like a good solid 10 seconds) but we wanted a very slow and meaningful first kiss 🙂

We did about seven steamboat whistles. ;P As in, one steamboat, two steamboat…our photographer got a ton of shots, too.

We did 5 seconds and our photographer didn’t get it either. My one photo that I wish we had!

I would avoid the makout session ;o)
