I think my longest was like a 6 day one, but that was before I went on the pill.

Longest was after a D&C and lasted for 2 weeks. Longest without a procedure, was about a week and half.

I’m on like the 6th week! actually menstruating. Regular for like the first 6 days, then I spotted for 5 and back to a regular period. I went to the gyno and had it all checked out, no problems. She prescribed progesterone to try to curb it. I’m 44 and wondering if it’s the start of menopause 🙁

2 weeks perhaps, although that happened maybe twice in my entire life. My average is 7 days, which is apparently on the longer side. 9 days happen about as often as 5 days, which is rare.

It lasted almost a month, if not longer, it came when I tried birth control. it was awful, first no period for like 3 months, then a looong one, and so on.

My second period ever lasted 13 days, it was horrible – The first 5 days were SO HEAVY! My usual period length is 6 full days.

Im currently 19 and when i was 17 i was put on BC pills to regulate my periods cuz they were about 9 to 12 days long, and they just kept getting longer every cycle, second last one was 35 days long, last one was 48 and im currently on day 49 and i hope it’ll stop around day 59 or 60. So far its increase by ten or so days the last few ones. Plus i only get about 8 to 12 days between periods. Funny thing is that all the docs are sure that im pregnant (which is 100% not the case) so i did some research and im very sure i have benign tumours in my uterus or uterine fibroids..

What I’ve learned is be carefull and pay attention to your body

I have PCOS and before I was diagnosed I once bled for five months without stopping.  Heavy bleeding too.  I almost died from complications related to anemia.

CarolinaCola :   for 13 years after baby 2, and 5 years after baby 1, I had ridiculous  breakthrough bleeding. They thought I had hemophilia, needed a hysterectomy. … I was put on provera, ablation. ..

Turns out I had and still  have un diagnosed autoummune disorder.

With ibuprofen therapy  and good diet it finally resolved.

I was having month long periods, and bleeding  starting every time I had sex. Really awful. And left me anemic and with.other auto immune complications  as well..

CarolinaCola :  My longest period ever was 10 days. My periods have always been regular unless I’m under severe stress. My periods before birth control lasted 7 days. Now that I’m off birth control again (after 6 years on), they last only 5 days but my cycle has shortened overall.
