A few hours. We picked out the ring together and he ordered it. I knew it had arrived that day while I was at work and he called to have me meet him at our favorite chocolate shop, where he asked me to be his wife.

At least my Fiance isn’t the only one who held onto it before giving it to me! We actually set a date before we got married and I was just waiting for the ring to make it official. I was actually asking him earlier that night if I was going to be getting it anytime in the near future, and he played it off like he was still looking. So he gave it to me and I found out he had it for 3 weeks. I don’t know how he kept that good of a secret.

He had it for 2 weeks, but he left it at his parents house because we were going to Boston to run the marathon on April 21st. We shared a bag for the trip, and I packed it, so I knew it wasn’t in there…he had given it to his mom, who carried it around in her purse the day of the marathon so that he could propose to me after the race! He was going to pin it to his shirt and run the whole 26.2 miles with it, but he knew he’d be worried about the ring and not focusing on running the race!

It took him 4 years to pay it off (we’ve been together for almost 6). When he did propose and tell me the whole "4 year" story I felt like a total arse! How long had I been crabby because people who met after us were now married and had kids!?! Yep that’s right. I still feel like an ungrateful brat if I think about it. Oh, and he had the actuall ring on him for at least 2 months. He proposed on the 5th anniversary of our first date.

I’m not sure when he actually purchased the ring, but the time from when we went looking together to when he proposed was about 2.5 months (of torture)!

It took us about 8 months total, from looking to the actual proposal…We went to look in August, and then he told me nothing else, bc he wanted it to be a surpise…I thought for sure on my birthday in November, it would happen. Nothing. Then two weeks later, our 4-year anniversary, still nothing. I thought maybe during the holidays or on NYE but nope, still nothing. Finally in March on a random weekend after he had bought the ring about a week before, he did it! And it was so wonderful but man, that wait was hard!

I’m still waiting.. We’ve been together six years and picked out a ring at the beginning of March. I’m dying!!! Hope it’s soon…

I was TOTALLY surprised, but after the proposal, he told me he had bought the ring when going back home at Christmas, and he proposed 2/26.

We started talking about it seriously about a month ago. He had me start looking and I found THE RING and gave him all of the information. I know for a fact that he is going to purchase it today. Now I just have to wait. He’s told me many times that he’s impatient so I’m anxiously waiting to see how patient he is on this one. I hope not too much so!

I can answer this in a few simple words.
Three in fact!
I’m still officially waiting but we’re officially marrying next summer. Just not having the bling yet on the ring finger!

3 months, but it felt like forever and he returned the ring to stop my guessing of when it would happen…in the end got an even better ring that he picked all by himself and was not expecting it at all!

We picked out the ring a year ago and I know that he put a down payment to reserve it two months ago and now I AM STILL WAITING!!!!!!

I didn’t know he bought a ring, but after he proposed he told me he bought it 4 days before the proposal.

I was unaware that he bought it, but when I did find out (after the proposal) he had it in his posession for about 2 weeks. Bought it at Christmas, and we got engaged around the end of Jan. The jeweler fed ex’ed it to him. Sounds insane to be able to ship something like that via fed ex, doesnt it?

We picked out the ring together three and a half weeks ago. It came in today, he went right over to pick it up, and we got engaged over dinner this evening.
Those three and a half weeks felt like three years!
