I knew this question was coming, so I just started saying a random timeline.

“We’re shooting for spring of 2014.”

We didn’t actually mean it: we were going to let our venue set the date.  Fortunately, spring of 2014 ended up being ideal for us.

So in answer to your question: within an hour of getting proposed to.

But really, we didn’t set it until 3 months later.

We set a date 3 months or more after getting engaged.

We got engaged Labor Day weekend, and we have only officially had a date for about three weeks now.

We were engaged on 9/15/12 and we set our dates probably like 3 weeks later.

We had a date range almost a year before we were officially engaged; an unconfirmed date two months before we got engaged; and a confirmed booking with our venue 6 days after he proposed.

We took our time 14 months.. we had lots of other life events going on at the time of the engagement, graduation, moving startes, starting careers, and graduate school.. so we just told everyone when we pick a date we will let you know but the wedding will be in a year or two..

I think it was about 6 weeks. I wanted to make sure I was going to get the venue I wanted. I didn’t have one in mind, but I knew I wanted to look at a lot.

We actually had our date set (and venue booked) 2 months before we were “officially” engaged (announced it to everyone).  If you want to get married this year it’s good to start ASAP…or have late Fall/Winter wedding!

We got engaged on Oct. 27th, our 3 year anniversary. We decided the same day that we would get married on 10/27/13

I think we picked our date about a month after getting engaged. But our engagement was only 7 months long, so we had to get a jump on things 😉

We threw around date ideas the night we got engaged. We didn’t set a solid date until about a month later.
