well my post is a little different from all preceding….

my first marriage I was barely 20 when we married and then had my first child when I was 21, we started ttc after 6 months of marriage.  We had two children, boys, 2 1/2 years apart….  I LOVE my boys and at the time I thought I wanted kids young.. .. . .. Knowing what I know now, I would offer this advice to young couples…  Take time for just you and DH, learn who your partner is and FIND out who you are! ๐Ÿ™‚  I feel it would have been better to wait.

I am now older and wiser… 31, married for a year and a half,  and we are TTC.   I feel so much more prepared for a baby, and for the stress that I know will come with it!  My DH has a daughter from a previous relationship as well, so if we are blessed we will only have one more child.  FX!

Being 10 years older than when I had my first child I know that I am better prepared mentally, but I do hold some fear that it will be harder to conceive, especially after a MC.  And also if the pregnancy will be harder on my body.

We got married in September 2011, I came off BC (Implanon) that December, and we got PG without really trying in March 2012. Unfortunately, that ended up being an ectopic so we waited a little bit and started officially ttc in July 2012. Had we known it was going to take this long to get KU, we probably would have started sooner. But, we got pregnant with our DS about 5 years ago by total accident, plus we weren’t trying with the ectopic back in March, so we had no idea it would take more than a couple of tries.

ETA- I am 26 and DH is 29.

I am 23, DH is 26. We started TTC last month, which was 3 months after getting married. I’ve always known that I wanted to be a mother (since I was like 12 LOL), and I didn’t want to wait any longer. I had the baby fever before we were married, but we decided to wait a few months to TTC.

DH is 29 and I’m turning 28 this month.  We plan to start TTC in September 2013 so we’ll be 10 months married.  Some days I want to start now (my sister just had her first baby yesterday!!), but realistically we’re just not settled in our location/home yet so I’m happy we’re waiting.

we got married in feb ’12 and i went off BC in march. we have been NTNP since but we were long distance march – sept. the original plan was to TTC in nov (married 9-ish months) but we ended up moving and i changed jobs so we pushed it back to jan ’13. then i decided to change jobs again which requires me to do a lot of flying and have a crazy schedule starting in march until july so now things are less clear.

our 1 year anniversary is coming up. he is 28 and i am 32. we are considering just going for it this month, because i’m pretty convinced that i might have fertility issues and, let’s face it, i aint gettin’ any younger… but am worried about the stress of my crazy schedule during my first trimester… who knows. i still have 7-10 days to mull it over. =P

We waited three months, haha—we married in July 2012, and it took us three months to conceive (December 2012).  Our LO is due September 2013.  We started TTC when we were 28 1/2.  We will be 29 1/2 when the baby is born.

I got my IUD removed 3 weeks before our wedding and so we actually started TTC that first cycle without BC. We had originally planned on starting when we got married, but we figured if I got PG right before it would be no big deal. We just finished cycle 6 with no BFP yet. I’m 31 and DH is 32. I think our timing is perfect for us.

I’m 32 and Fiance is 30. We are getting married next year in April, but have decided to go ahead and start TTC. I was having trouble with my BC and the options were to try yet another type of BC, or just go off it and let nature take it’s course. If we’re not pregnant in the next few months, I might try to AVOID it so I’m not 9 mos preggo on my wedding day, and start trying again later this year so I would only be a few months on the wedding day. Being almost 34 at my wedding makes me want to start sooner than later since we want to have more than one. ๐Ÿ™‚

@jny1179:  I’m in the same boat with that clock tick tick ticking!

Both DH and I are 33.  We got married May 2012.  Finished off BC at the end of May.  Wasn’t TTC just enjoying life.  Officially started charting in November of 2012 and got PG on November 13th!!  LO is due August of 2013.  We are very excited. ๐Ÿ™‚

We started trying the days leading up to our wedding, which was right around my fertile window. We were both 30. Now we’re 31 and since it’s taking longer than expected, I do wish we started earlier!

We were both 23 when we got married, now DH is 24 and I am 23, we only waited 4 months before trying and got pregnant after 2 cycles of actively trying.  We just both want to be parents very badly, and we are happy to be younger and (hopefully) have a little more energy? One of my biggest fears was waiting too long and not being able to conceive nauturally, so I’m not disappointed we didn’t wait longer.  We are also looking forward to being somewhat young when the kids are out of the house, as this will be the time when we actually have money to travel and see the world! ๐Ÿ™‚

@baletrina:  And you got it on the first try of charting!! I have a feeling the same thing will happen to me. Last month I didn’t chart and AF showed up earlier than I thought, so I was off on my ovulation guess and we missed the mark. I didn’t want to hit it on the first try though, so we’ll see how this cycle goes!!
