I proposed after 4 years – actually, I proposed after a couple of years, but my boyfriend’s response was simply that only men should propose, and he would do so when the time was right. Well…after two more years, he still hadn’t proposed, so I popped the question again on February 29, 2012 (the one day when women can propose, according to tradition), and this time he said YES!

6 years for us 🙂 We are highschool sweethearts…so those first 2 years we were quite young. Then we wanted to both finish university/trade school before getting engaged!

Just over 4 years! We never wanted to move in together until we were married, however after graduating University, we went traveling together for a few months. Once we were home, we both wanted to move out, and figured why not move in together since we missed seeing eachother and knew we would be spending time at one persons house over another. He proposed just before we got possesion of our first condo together. That way we were still slightly honouring our plan 🙂 We bought our first home together just before our wedding in July!

6 years, 10 months and 6 days, lol. Wow, I’m so lame.
When I tell people it’s almost been 7 years, they’re impressed at our “longevity”, but we met when we were 18-19, when we were still immature. If it wasn’t true love, we would have just been a summer fling for each other, but thank God we’re still together today and looking towards our future together.

I’ll Too Much Information
4 months after we met we actually had a conversation, 1 week later we were dating. 5 months later we went ring shopping, 6 months later we were engaged, we have a long engagement and will be married after 2 years and 3 months of being together.
So… technically 11 months. I’m 30 and he’s 25.
