We’ve been together almost 5 years- he proposed end of October, and we’re getting married end of next September- so it will be around 11 months of engagement. We had always said, once we got engaged, we wanted to get married shortly after! Worked out perfect because I have always wanted a fall wedding.

He proposed on our 1.5 year anniversary. We were friends for about five years before we started dating. And our engagement is going to be ten days shy of a year :).

We were together for 3 1/2 years before he proposed. We bought a house together just shy of our 2 year anniversary. And we are getting married 2 years after the proposal! Smile

We dated for nearly 6 years before the proposal (through my 4 yrs of undergrad and 2 years of grad school). He proposed about a month and a half after I finished school, and our engagement is 13 months.

My Fiance proposed around the 3.5 year mark of us dating, and our engagement will be 2.5 years! The wedding seemed like a lifetime away.. but now it’s only 5 months away

DH and I were engaged after 5 years (and like 10 days – the ring didn’t come in in-time) of dating. We had a 16 month engagement and were married this past October. His brother and SIL dated for like 7 years before they got engaged. Most of my friends were on the shorter side ranging from 6 months to 2 years. My best friend will probably fall in the 5+ year category but I reeeeeally hope it’s sooner! Lol

I guess on a wedding planning website you aren’t gonna have too many shotgun weddings, but I still think DH and I win for shortest time periods.

We met for the very first time in July of 2010. We started officially dating in mid August and he proposed in mid December of 2010. We were married at the end of May 2011.

So that’s about 4 months of dating and 5 months of engagement!

Which sounds exceptionally irrespeonsible, even though irresponsible would probably be the last adjective anyone would use to descirbe either of us. We just knew, and felt no need to wait. We’ll be 7 months married tomorrow, and I’ve never been happier in my life.

He proposed after 3 years and 2 months (living together 1 year and 9 months), and we’re having a year and a half-long engagement.
