The ring is in the mail now, so assuming he doesn’t hold onto it for years once it arrives, itll be 5 years. We wanted to wrap up uni first.

Almost 3 years.  We are both in our 40s (I was in my 30s when we started dating) but we aren’t looking to have more babies, so that wasn’t a factor for us.

6 months! Then engaged for 13 months and have been married almost two years and have a daughter. We were 27 when we met and are now 30.

I was engaged previously when I was 25. Got engaged after 15 months and broke up just over the 2-year mark. Neither of our faults, Just not right for a lifetime, and he is also now married. . I knew what I was (and wasn’t) looking for the second time around.

Sarbear21: Wow, you have us beat by a week! Hubby proposed at 3 weeks. I was SURE he was mad. But here we are almost 7 years later. Our anniversary is this month ❤️ “when you know…you just know.”

semperfi :  things are really great. The wedding is in June and by then we will have been together two years. This relationship was incredibly different from any of my others and although things moved quickly it never felt rushed or like we were moving too fast

almost 7 years.  We aren’t having kids and he had a horrendous divorce from his first wife so I didn’t think we would get married, or if we did, we would just go to the courthouse, and I was ok with that, but he proposed on Christmas Eve and it was a great surprise!

Four years or so. At first I wasn’t fussed about getting married, but at that point it just felt right.

Just over 3 years. We didn’t start dating at a young age (26 and 36), and we do want babies, ha. We just didn’t see the need to rush! I think it’s all priorities. We don’t really get long engagements, so ours is only 6 months (which, frankly, has been a few months longer than it needed to be!), and we don’t have age on our side, so we don’t really care about having years together “alone” before we start having kids, since we’ve already had years alone.
