5 months. Anyone who says you can’t plan a wedding in less than a year is lying to you 😉
To be fair, my parents paid for it so we didn’t have to save up, so if you are then I understand longer engagements. We already lived together & didn’t see any sense in waiting.

2.5 months. Even that seemed too long! We were ready to get married as soon as we got engaged! The wedding itself was planned (mostly by DH) within a couple weeks. We had a pretty easygoing wedding though and had the budget for it already (we did pay for it ourselves.)

Ours was only supposed to be 15 months, but it’s turned into 2 years.

he proposed to me after only 3 months of dating so i insisted on waiting a year before making wedding plans. we were engaged for 2.5 years before getting married.

It will be just shy of 3 years by the time we get married. One more year to go! Two years would’ve been perfect, 3 is def one year too many!

21 months, but I clicked 2 years because it’s closer to 2 years than 1 year. We needed time to save money since we’re paying for the whole thing ourselves and I was starting a new career so I wanted to get somehwat established.
I would be crazy trying to plan a wedding in less than a year but I know people who have done it in 3-4 months!

1.5 half years it was way too long

I voted 1 year, but it was actually 10 months. I found it was the perfect amount of time, for us.

When we get married we will have been engaged about two and a half years, a combination of saving up, me finishing my PhD and family circumstance made us opt for a longer engagement.
