Are you taking people with you? Do they know how to do your bustle? Are there sashes to attach or things to learn about lacing?

It shouldn’t take long unless for some reason something is wrong with the dress (knock on wood!). I think I basically just tried it on with my shoes and veil, the seamstress showed us how to bustle it, and we paid for the alterations.

It’ll probably be pretty sure – under an hour, maybe under 30 minutes? I ended up having a “final” fitting and a “final, FINAL” fitting because one of my straps needed to be fixed. My Maid/Matron of Honor had come along to an earlier fitting, so she knew how to bustle my dress and practiced tying the bow for my sash a bunch of times. That day we were there for probably 90 minutes to 2 hours. The “final, FINAL” fitting was probably around 30-45 minutes.
