Mine wasn’t typical. I think our photographer was very lazy. It was 5 full months (20 weeks).

From what I’ve seen here, most ladies received their photos within 8 weeks.

My brother is a wedding photographer and likes to get his photos done within two month. Of course when he gets really busy he can get a little behind but he understands how important the pictures are to people and how excited they can be.  I just feel bad for him when he has those couples who ask for the pictures the week after or the guests who have the nerve to ask the next day!

I’m scared of the half assed editing done on a full wedding delivered in under one week. That seems like such a rush job to me. I think that a photographer should be a perfectionist and take their time carefully culling and retouching each individual image to ensure the upmost quality. I would be pissed if I got my images back in only a week or two.

The turn around can vary from photog to photog, and also determined by the time of year… its going to take longer at the height of wedding season. period. The general average is 6-8 from what I have gathered from other pros. But I have seen everything from 2 weeks to 1 year fall under “the norm”.
