i went to three shops and tried on at least 5 dresses at each shop. The dress I ended up choosing was one a girl in the next changing room decided not to get (she was deciding between the dress I bought and one other dress). So I lucked out! And the dress I ended up picking was the cheapest dress I was considering and also needed the least amount of alterations~

Went to 1 .. tried on 3 dresses … and I was done. ;D

I highly suggest Mariposa Boutique in Anaheim, CA.  I love them!  They feel like family to me now!  Hehe! ;D

I went to 3, but ended up buying the first dress at the first store.  The bottom line is that there really isn’t THAT much variety in styles out there, and 90% of what you see if A-line strapless. You could make yourself crazy trying on millions of dresses. I think it’s all about your attitude going into it.  I had 4 days at home to do it, and did it in 2.  I tried on 5 dresses at the first place, 5 at the second, and I think 6 at the third, but I really knew pretty quickly either "yes" or "no" with each dress.  If you know your style and stay true to yourself, it’s very painless and easy!  Good luck!

I went to 3 and I only brought my mom and my sister.  My dress is top secret and the only ones that have seen it is my mom, my sister and my future mother in law saw a picture of it.

I went to 2 and plan to visit them again (I didn’t find "the dress" yet). I agree with the others in setting at least 2-3 hours at each. Trying on dresses is so much fun! However, it is a very exhausting process. You’ll find yourself tired, yet excited at the end of the day. Don’t forget to bring some water with you. You’ll need H2O to keep you going. Good luck!
