If my Maid/Matron of Honor and I wouldnt have got creative, I would have been having 3 or 4. We both decided that instead of having that many she is throwing me one huge one where all the people from the different parts of my life are invited… THANK GOD… I honestly think I would go mad having to keep up with all of that in the middle of having to plan the wedding..

Don’t feel bad! I don’t think I’m having a bridal shower at all. Actually, at this point, I’m pretty sure I’m not. I don’t even know who’s supposed to organize one! I knew the Maid/Matron of Honor wouldn’t host one because of her lack of space/money, but it didn’t occur to me that our moms could host one too. It’s one thing less to worry about (and one outfit less to figure out!)

i had one shower in my hometown over the holidays. i am away on internship now and one friend here mentioned she wants to do something for me before i leave for my wedding. i don’t think it will be that elaborate or considered a “shower”. but it will be wedding celebration thing with work friends and will be tons of fun i am sure! i opted for no bachelorette party.

We are having 4 showers & a bachelorette party.
1. Bridal Shower- thrown by my aunt. 80 people invited. ( yea, they got excited)
2. Lingerie Shower- Thrown by Bridesmaids 20-30 probably
3. Tool & Garden Couples shower- Thrown by fiance’s side of the family
4. Small shower at work
& then of course a bachelorette party in New Orleans!

I know my Maid/Matron of Honor is throwing us a coed shower for all of our friends. And I am sure we will have one more the family and I’m not sure what work will do. I am sure they will do something, there are close to 40 women that I work with.

I had one. it was combined, some guests, and family from each side. I only invited the people i felt closest too.

I’ll be having just one big-ass shower. Probably about 90 people.

1 bridal shower and 1 bachelorette.

I am only having one shower – 40 invited. My fiance’s family lives out of town and I don’t think they are having a shower for us.

I am having 3
-One in my home town
-One in FI’s home town
-One at my office (its not in either one of our hometowns)

I had one! it was thrown together at the last minute – aka 1 day before the wedding and there about 12 people. I enjoyed it a lot though so whether you’re having a lot of large parties, 1 or even none… make sure to thank your hosts!

I will be having 2, maybe 3. My Maid/Matron of Honor is throwing a bridal shower with probably about 20 girls. Then, Fiance and I are hosting a couple’s shower at our house. We’re just going to grill out, all our friends and family are invited so there will probably be about 50-60 people. Co-workers might throw me a small work shower. Plus my bachelorette party in New Orleans (can’t wait!) and a bridal luncheon the Sunday before my wedding.

I’m having two, but it’s starting to get hard to figure out who to invite.
Shower #1 will be in my hometown with friends from high school, mom’s friends, church ladies, etc.
Shower #2 will be in my current town (where the wedding will be) and I can’t figure out who to invite! I recently graduated from college and stayed in my college town, but most of my friends left. Do I invite church ladies (from down here?), my coworkers, in-laws, friends, etc? I don’t know many people here so if I invite a couple, I feel like I’ve gotta invite them ALL or risk having a teeny shower. (I can’t cancel it, either; a couple older ladies from my church are putting it on for me and have already started planning it!).

I think you could totally invite church people and even friends who have left the area. I have people coming from a ways away. It will be great i’m sure! 🙂

- Wedding: June 2011 - Sydney, Australia
I’m only having one. My side of the family is small, and Mr. Jag’s side don’t really know me, so it would be awkward having a huge one. Nice & simple for us. 🙂
