My two best friends. We’ve known each other since two of us were 5 and the other was 3. I had too many pockets of friends between high school and college, so I just went with who I knew the longest and wanted there beside me. My fiance only has his best friend and my brother standing up next to him so it worked out. We have co-maids of honor and co-best men.

I would just tell those two girls your expectations right up front.
I have five bridesmaids, and I divvied up tasks to each of them to make them feel special (they want to help, I’m not forcing them.)
My Maid/Matron of Honor is my cloest friend who lives where I live. I’ve known her for 8 years. She is awesome and is organizing the bachelorette party.
Two BMs are high school friends that I’ve stayed in close contact with. I love them both. Thank God they didn’t live here or I wouldn’t have been able to choose a Maid/Matron of Honor, lol. One helped me pick out the invites (and talks me through all of the wedding drama) and the other is making the groom’s cake.
Another Bridesmaid or Best Man is my college friend. I’ve known her for about 2 years and she’s just a ton of fun to be around, which is the main reason I choose her. Sometimes you just need to be around someone who is fun, easy going, and non-judgemental. I don’t expect her to get a lot done (two jobs, college student, etc.) but she’s going to make each party a little less stressful, lol. I adore her-maybe I’ll get her to help out with the bridesmaid brunch the morning before the wedding.
The last Bridesmaid or Best Man I’ve known for only 6 months, lol, but I know we’ll be close forever. She’s an older girl and is married with two kids so I guess she’s actually a matron. She’s going to help my mom with the shower and she’s going to teach me domestic skills, in which I am sorely lacking. Because of her, my fiance won’t be eating take out every night.

I have 7 because I couldn’t make a decision. I’m happy about it though.
