rosecut:  If you don’t want a wedding party then don’t have one. I have four bridesmaids.

3 or 4. I’ve been to weddings with no bridal party. I didn’t think it was strange at all!!

I’ll have 7.  I didn’t exactly try to have a large wedding party but I have a large family with 14 1st cousins.  I asked the 3 cousins who asked me to be in their wedding, my SIL, my FI’s 2 sisters and a college friend I’ve been very close to the last few years.  My Fiance had trouble getting his groomsmen list below 7 with two brothers and many friends who were like brothers growing up.

Everyone is different.  If you don’t want a wedding party, don’t have one.  It’s your day!

I’m having 4 bridesmaids + 1 matron of honor. My Fiance wanted to add an additional groomsman, but I put my foot down and told him this was my max number of bridesmaids. He didn’t want an uneven wedding party, but I wouldn’t have minded My brother & SIL only had 2 people in their wedding party – the best man and maid of honor – and I’m sure they would have had no wedding party at all but they needed witnesses for the ceremony and signing the marriage certificate.

rosecut:  i’m having 5. I wish I only had 1, or none. The more people the more complications.

elyseDCB:  I had six. My sister dropped out due to a falling out which is extremely sad and disappointing, but nothing I can do. So now we’re down to five. I have my best friend as my Maid/Matron of Honor, and two childhood friends, high school best friend and another close friend from high school as my bridesmaids.

rosecut:  I’m having 5 girls. I was on the fence about having a bridal party. I always knew who my 5 girls would be but just didn’t know if I wanted to label my friends and family like that. Fiance really wanted to have his best men and groomsmen though so that made my decision easier and I asked them 🙂

We’ll have 8 on each side. My sister, my two sister in laws, my future sister in law, my two best friends, my fiance’s (female) best friend of 15 years, and my cousin. We have big families and friends that have been around for a very long time that I couldn’t imagine not having up there with us. Seems like a lot, but with a guest list of 250, it evens out.

I’m having four, my two best friends and my two sisters 🙂 I like this number, it’s even (which is always a plus for me), and it’s still feels small. I think much more and I would start to feel overwhelmed with coordinating, plus we’re having a very small guest list (around 56 right now, though we already know a few won’t be attending) so I also think a huge bridal party would look strange for us.

Zero! I didn’t want my friends to have to spend money, and we save money too. fewer things to deal with and less drama helped make the decision!
