Hello Bees,
How many Bridesmaids did you have? What are the pros and cons of the size of your bridal party , and of small / large bridal parties in general? If you could do it again, would you have more / less / or the same?
Thanks!! 🙂

I had 4. My sister, two best friends and DH’s sister.
It was perfect, but not because of the number itself, but that I chose the ladies carefully.

I had 2. I find more than about 4 just means drama. But, a lot of this depends on the size of your wedding too. At a big wedding, you should have more attendants, a smaller wedding should have fewer. The traditional rule is one attendant on each side for each 50 guests, but you don’t need to stick to that exact rule. It would be weird to have 60 guest with 12 of the up there at the altar with you though.
Another thing to keep in mind is that more attendants equals more expense (flowers, attendant gifts, rehearsal dinner…).

I have four: my sisters and two good friends. So far the hardest part is coordinating everything because they are rather indecisive (was not expecting that). Be prepared for people to perhaps change their minds about where and if they want hair/nails done. Women! 😉

Four bridesmaids. Two very good friends and both of my sisters. There’s 90 people on our guest list.

I have 6! At first I thought I’d have a hard time just asking 3 girls – I never thought I’d have this many.

I plan on having 3 or 4 bridesmaids and the same number of groomsmen. We will be paying for all their attire, so cost is a factor in deciding the amount of attendants we want.
I think much more then four and you’re setting your self up for issues. Four attendants, plus the bride and groom means a wedding party of 10 people, just finding transport for that number of people is a pain!

I am having 4.
We are having a small wedding but I decided to have this many because both my sister and my best friend since high school live in different cities than me and I have 2 besties where I live who get along great! One of them moved away recently though.
It was really important to honor all of them and have some local support especially I live far away from all of my family. I am getting married in 2 months and I’ve been soooooo happy with my girls, they have been so amazing!

I had 1 Maid/Matron of Honor and 2 BM’s. If I could do it all over again, I’d have more.

I’m having 7, but that’s only because I have a group of girlfriends that I have to be very careful not to offend. I really wanted 5 or 6, but I figured a difference of 1 wasn’t worth the fight.
