I’m having three. Any more and it would have blown out of proportion (one of those, “if I ask person A, then I have to ask person B” situations). Nice, small, easy to wrangle, and cheaper!

Not sure- we’re having a “private destination wedding” alone (read: elopement) and then a civil ceremony back in the States so my two new SILs might wear “bridesmaidy” dresses for those photos but we’re not sure just yet. Whatever they wanna do, really, I don’t honestly care.

4 BMs and a Maid/Matron of Honor. 45 days, and a couple of girls stepping down, but easily fixed by girls I wanted to include anyway 🙂

I meant to have 5 but one dropped out last minute, so 4.

4 of my best friends and my sister. Fiance gets to decide how his sister will participate. Right now I’m counting her as a Bridesmaid or Best Man, but he’s started talking about having our cat bear the rings and having her as ring bearer bearer.

I’m having three of my best and oldest friends stand up with me. I wish I could have a fourth but since we’re having a small wedding, it might be out of proportion.

If I have a Destination Wedding, 2 MOH’s, if any. If I get married at home, I want 4 (2 MOH’s, 2 bridesmaids) for the symmetry. I was planning to ask FI’s sister that he’s very close to, but he also has another sister who he isn’t close to. I don’t know what to do in that case. But I can’t have an odd number of bridesmaids. It would drive me crazy.

I had my Maid/Matron of Honor and two BMs and it worked out great. My BFF since we were in third grade was my Maid/Matron of Honor.  My other two BMs were my sister and the woman who forms sort of a threesome with me and my MOH; she and I are so much alike and get along so well that even though she lives across the country, whenever we talk or see eachother, its like no time has passed at all.

There were times when I wondered if I should have just had my Maid/Matron of Honor and my sister, just because they are the two I can GUARANTEE will be in my life forever, but I also doubt that my other Bridesmaid or Best Man would have been able to make it to the wedding if she weren’t a Bridesmaid or Best Man, and I can’t imagine not having her there.

I kinda wished I had asked my SIL (who lives with Darling Husband and me) to be a Bridesmaid or Best Man as well, but… 1. she is super shy and didn’t really want to stand up there, be in all the photos, etc, 2. it would have really been too much to have four BMs when there were only 35 guests, and 3. then Darling Husband would have had to have another groomsman and he didn’t really have anyone in mind (yes, I know, you can do uneven bridal parties, but I personally could never handle the lack of symmetry).

Just my sister as Maid/Matron of Honor. I never have been into the bridemaids thing. Added perk that she can pick any gorgeous dress and it doesn’t have to work for anyone else.
