angelaw2g:  I made all my girls Maids of Honor. Two are my older sisters, two are my best friends and one is my 9 year old niece 🙂

I have 2 Bridesmaids and 1 Maid/Matron of Honor, I wanted to keep it small. I have 2 best friends (that don’t know each other, weird.. I know lol) so it was VERY hard for me to chose between them but I decided to go with my best friend I met when I was 5, she also lives in my city whereas my other friend doesn’t and I didn’t want her to feel obligated to have to come to my city and stuff.

Choosing a bridal party wasn’t easy for me because I grew up with my cousin but once we got into junior high we weren’t friends anymore but my Aunt had a vision in her head that I would make my cousin my Maid/Matron of Honor (I have a post about the drama..) but in reality I didn’t see my cousin as a close friend anymore so I ended up asking my Future Sister-In-Law who does mean a lot to me because I just have a brother, no sisters and I am so excited to finally have a sister! My Aunt found out this week who I asked so that was fun…

We are having 80 or so guests so decided to keep the bridal party small with 2 on each side. My sister is my Maid/Matron of Honor and my cousin (who is like a sister) is my Bridesmaid or Best Man. Obviously we are all family so we get on great.

In the UK it is also standard practice for the bridemaids’/groomsmans’ outfits etc to be paid for, so each member of our wedding party adds an extra ~£500 to our budget!!

I have 4 BM’s and 2 of them are my sisters. I couldn’t choose between the two for the spot of Maid/Matron of Honor so I’m not really having one but they’ve both took on Maid/Matron of Honor ‘duties’ between them eg one came dress shopping with me, the other is planning my hen do.

I was quite envious of people who has an obvious choice for Maid/Matron of Honor when trying to figure out my bridal party but Im actually glad now as my two sisters are SO different, they can each play to their strengths when deciding what they each want to do.

I have two sisters and we are all very close. So I have two Maid/Matron of Honor and one bridesmaid, his sister. Then his brother as the best man and my brother and a mutual friend as the groomsmen. We wanted a small party and wanted our family to be at the alter with us.
