I have three but not by choice. Two are FI’s sisters. He has three sisters, and I am close to two of them. They have welcomed me and made me feel like a part of the family. And if anyone thinks it’s weird I excluded the third sister, they haven’t said anything. She and I have never been close, and as she currently lives 4 hours away and doesn’t talk to me when she is visiting, I don’t think it’s too big a deal.

Unfortunately, my twin sister announced before I even got engaged how excited she was to be in my someday wedding etc. I was shocked by her presumptuousness and rudeness, but I didn’t know how to tell her that I had not planned to ask her! We have never been really close, and even our phases now of being friendly are kind of distant. She kicked me out of her bridal party when she got married, and then, she never even invited me to her wedding as a guest. Who on earth would then expect to be my MOH?! (Yes, she wanted to be MOH!) I put my foot down on that at least. When she heard we were moving the date back a year, she didn’t ask why or how things were going, she only commented that she hoped we would pick a date that her husband was available on (because she doesn’t drive and it would be omg inconvenient to have to get a ride the 2.5 hours from where she lives to my wedding.)

… oh sorry, that kind of turned into a vent. :

2 MOHs, 4 bridesmaids, 3 Jr. bridesmaids, 2 Bridesmaid or Best Man, 4 groomsmen, 1 usher, 4 flowergirls, and 1 ring bearer.  And start early on buying gifts, all I have is the ringbearer left and I’m almost done, yay!

i had six bridesmaids, orig. had 8. I wish i only had three since the other three were completely useless and were a big hinderance during our actual day.

SIX, which is a little more then I would like, but I have my friends and fam back in my hometown, plus my new friends that have become like family for my 5.5 years in the military. so it was hard! Fiance has three siblings (Triplets) so had to include them in.

So six Bridesmaid or Best Man, four Groomsmen, and 2 GW (Groomswomen). And yes it has been hard motivating at times. I am at the deadline NOW for dresses to be ordered by all my girls (8 girls total tech) and we have 4 more days and I have THREE who still have not ordered! they have had well over six months to do it! My girls who are out here with me (NOT getting married in the state i live in, Will be Married 4,000 miles away in hometown) anyways, took my girls out here to get fitted and try on dresses. Giving them seperate dresses, so they get to pick whatever top they want. So its crunch time and so many have come to me asking, which top was it I liked? What where my measurements? Who do I call, whats the number? which all that info was all given to them a couple times! Oh well I guess, I guess I was just a little frustrated because I thought they should be supporting you with anything you may need and not you almost doing everything for them, for your wedding!

Am I off, anyone else have stuff like this?

i’m going to keep it nice and simple, and relatively symmetrical, i think: 1 Maid/Matron of Honor, 1 Bridesmaid or Best Man, 1 JBM, 2 flower girls (one from each of our families), 2 ring bearers (again, one from each family).  FI will have three Best Men.  so basically we’ll each have three, plus the ring bearers and flower girls.
