So far this has been the biggest decision I have had to make. Its just that I have so many awesome people in my life. Of course I am having my sister (MOH) and then also my cousin who is practically my sister. Traditionally only 3 bridesmaids is the rule; and lucky for me fiance doesn’t have a sister. But I have 6 girls I want. And fiance only has 3 but could make it 4. I could settle at 5, but I am trying to have 4… but so hard. Particularly I have a best girl friend that we grew up together, but in the past few years have drifted. But when we are together it is always like old times, but then I have these 2 girls who will totally be there for me and are in both fiance and I’s now life.

Choose the number you want! If your Fiance wants 3 and you want 6 then have them double up! It is your day and no tradition about # should change how you pick your girls! If you do limit the number you pick than you can include people in other special ways. For example, my Fiance and I are having my brother and his sister (neither in the wedding party) as our witnesses instead of the MOH/BM. Good luck and enjoy the planning!

I agree with pinotnoir, I think it would look neat to have each guy walking with a girl on each arm!! Plus, being that they’re men, they’ll love that!! I had such a hard time with this. Right now I have 2 Maid/Matron of Honor, 2 bridesmaids and a junior bm. I also might add another Bridesmaid or Best Man. I say, go with what you want!!
Remember, any girl who doesn’t make "the cut" could also serve as guestbook attendant, reader or cake cutter. good luck!
