(Closed) how many buckets for flowers?

I was wondering the same thing too. What I figured is my normal vase holds about a dozen normal roses without them being squished, and the diameter on that is 6″, the diameter on the Home Depot bucket I have is 12″, so I calculated the area of the opening on each and the HD bucket is 4x’s that of my normal vase, so I’m going with 4 dozen roses per bucket.  Dang if I know if that’s right…

How tall are your buckets? Shorter buckets are better for shorter stems (mini garden roses may have shorter stems than standard roses) and they’ll hold more. In a standard 5-gallon Home Depot-style bucket, I’d say 3-4 bunches per bucket. If the bucket is shorter, definitely 4 bunches.
