How much do you currently weigh and what is your height? Do you have a desk job or an active job?

Way more than you’re eating now! I’m 4’10” and 92 lbs and to lose weight my magic number seems to be around 1150.

@OrchidsandCandles:  your metabolism has probably slowed down from not eating enough. So when you do eat more than 1000 its probably being stored as fat. If you start to regularly eat a more reasonable amount of calories it will level out and you’ll start to lose.

@OrchidsandCandles:  look into the “myfitness pal” app. It’ll have you enter your information than calculate how many calories per day based on that info. Than it allows you to track your calories daily as well as exercise. I’ve found it to be very helpful!

I think the first step for you will be finding a healthy balance between your mental state and your relationship with food. I’ve seen you post so much about your weight and how you view your body that you’ll never be satisfied with the number on the scale. The issue isn’t your weight or your ability to count calories, it’s the issue of how you ultimately view yourself. You’ve mentioned several times that you’re in school,  I would research and look into some resources to talk to someone and sort out what is going on internally with your mental,  emotional and then physical state.

@Mrs_Amanda:  Ditto. Start with going to see a nutritionist and a counselor… you are on a very dangerous path right now.

@OrchidsandCandles:  mine is 1200 too, I think that’s pretty basic though? The other people I work it have a 1200 calorie limit too I believe….hmmmm! lol that’s interesting!

My advice as someone who used to suffer from eating disorders and BDD, get rid of your scale. Just having one around is helping you keep unrealistic weight goals. I do not know if anyone told you but your height and weight are fine. You are , however, continuing to go down a very unhealthy path. I do weigh myself at times but I try to walk by the scale. I’m not even overweight but I have my bad days still. Please take care of yourself!

@OrchidsandCandles:  I’ve responded to some of your other threads with the same advice: you obviously have some self image problems that transcend a number on the scale. Of course,  you’re going to do what you’re going to do,  regardless of an internet stranger. My advice still stands,  there’s nothing healthy about your obsession with your body and weight, no matter how “safe” you feel you’re being about it.
