- Wedding: April 2013
We’ll have 118 guests who need chairs in the audience for the wedding ceremony (95% sure they will all attend the ceremony, as it is directly before the reception and out of town for all of them).
I want to have extra chairs, because it is hard for people to be seated as groups if there aren’t extras. We’re not having ushers, so people will probably frequently leave a seat between them and the next group.
On the other hand, I don’t want so many that it looks somewhat empty in photos.
How many chairs would you have? I’m thinking 140. That would be an average of 1.5 empty chairs per row (of 10, split into sides of 5 and 5). I’m estimating about 64 attendees on my side, 54 on his side – I don’t care which side people sit on but some people will gravitate to wanting to sit on a certain side.
