I used the word ‘close’ because a lot of times I will say that someone is my friend when in reality that person is only an acquaintance. Would you rather have a lot of friends or just a couple of really good friends?

I like having several close friends and then the ones I like to just hang out with when I need a person to go different place with. Some of my friends like to go out drinking, etc.

I LOVE my friends… I have 2 close friends and my sister and my mom.
My mom is really the only one that “pours” into me so to speak…
My sis and 2 other friends I find that I tend to be their emotional support.
OH…. and Darling Husband. He is by far my best friend. lol
As for acquaintances… both Darling Husband and I are HIGHLY involved in our church and I’ve been serving in our young adults ministry for YEARS… I can honestly say that although most of them (100+) were invited to our wedding.. I don’t hang out or talk to not ONE of them outside of church.
It’s sometimes hard b/c you would think that after years we’d be better friends, BUT knowing them to the point that I do I’m happy with the close friends I have and know that it’s probably for the best that we’re on more of an acquaintance level 😉

I have 4 good friends that I met in kindergarten, 4 more I met in high school, and 2 more that I met in college, so 10 close friends- people that I really care about and care about me that we really enjoy each other’s company and would do anything for each other. I’m very, very fortunate in the friend department.

I have 4 close friends that I talk to ALOT. I’m currently in another state (only 5 more weeks til we get to go home!) and we text, email call whatever to keep in touch. They are also my BMs 😀
Also my mom is like my bff. We talk everyday and she is a big crafter too so we share stuff all the time.
Fiance has a younger sister and we talk a lot too. I only have brothers so I’m excited to get a sissy!

I would honestly say I only have 7 close true friends. I have about 10 that I would consider good friends. But those 7 would do anything for me and vice versa!

I pretty much have just a few close friends and then a lot of “friends” from high school that still live in my hometown that are fun to go out with when I visit, but that I’m not super close to anymore. Making friends seems so much harder as you get older!

I’ve noticed that as i get older, it’s so hard to find friends… especially starting over in a new area. True best friends, 3. I could tell them anything in the world.

Not counting Darling Husband I have 4 good friends.

I would guess about 3 or 4. I was burned pretty badly in college by a roommate so I weeded a lot of people out of my life after that.

I never stopped to think about it. I have a lot of close friends. I have five close friends that I touch base with at least every other day. At least five I touch base with 2-3 times a week. I know any of these people would drop everything for me and come running if I truly needed them. They have proven that. I would do the same for them. Plus my brother and of course my Fiance. I am truly blessed! This is a great thread it made me count my blessings. There are probably some I am not even thinking of.

Fiance and my mom, if they count. Otherwise, none. *shrug*

My Fiance and my parents are my closest friends. Other than that I don’t really have any friends to talk with or hang out with.

Other than Fiance and my Dad, I have none. 🙁

@SoonToBeeMrsD: This sounds very similar to what happened to me, actually. My roommate and I had a big falling out and her boyfriend also happened to be in our mutual friend group, so I ended up cutting a lot of people out of my life.
