i had 120 guests.  i ordered 250 napkins.  they were placed on the bar.  and were handed out with drinks, i assume.  i saved a handful for myself but they were all gone at the end of night.

I invited 132 guests (expecting around 100) and ordered 400. It was the same price as ordering 300, so that’s why. But…we are having an open bar during cocktail hour and the whole reception. We will put them on the butler trays during passed appetizers and on the bar. This gives everyone about 4 napkins.

I don’t know about you, but when mine gets wet and soggy, I get a new one. I expect they will get wet and soggy through a 5 hour reception.

This may not help. But we have about 200 guests. I only ordered 400. Our venue will also supply regular white ones for when we run out. I am not worried about it. White ones are fine with me.

soontobemrs.h:  i bought a total of 800 because my husband insisted, and we barely went through 300 of them with a 135 guest wedding. i am still using them when we have friends over, i have a stack at work…every time there’s a need for a small napkin around me, you’ll see a lavender one from our wedding 😉
