I went off BCP in February and got my BFP a week ago. But we didn’t really get our act together and start temping, timing, etc. till May, so I’d say it took us 8 months but 6 *real* months. I’m 38 though, so that’s actually pretty quick for my age.

2.5 years of NTNP followed by a year of TTC. Got pregnant around cycle 14 (honestly by that point I’d lost count) and it ended as Ectopic. Waited the required 3 months and got pregnant the first cycle back trying but it was Chemical. Got pregnant the following cycle and am currently 15w.

3rd cycle or about 4 months. I felt like I was never going to get pregnant, especially since we had to push back TTC due to a Zika risk, but it really was quite fast in the grand scheme of things.

I believe polls like this will skew mainly to both the extreme short end of extreme long. Just because many people who got it ‘first time’ like to shout about it and those that struggle like to share their experience to add balance. I think the middle portion will likely be under-represented.

I’m shocked at how many mama’s got their BFP on their first cycle! That’s great 😊

It took us 11 cycles which was around 13 months because I have long/irregular cycles.
I’m currently 5 days overdue with my first baby so hoping he or she makes an appearance soon.
I ended up having an ovarian cyst that needed surgery to remove and whilst in there they flushed my Fallopian tubes with dye to check for blockages. I got pregnant first cycle after my surgery so maybe that had something to do with it. I was also on my second cycle of Clomid (medication to stimulate ovulation) when I fell pregnant and had been doing acupuncture for fertility.
Hopefult it won’t take us as long next time.

thank you for commenting! We’re ttc before getting married and I’m super nervous about going to the dr’s if something is wrong but not being married yet.

Actually, about 1/3 of couples will conceive in the first month of TTC. So the poll at the moment (at 26%) is not that heavily skewed.

is it bad that my first thought was “first cycle! Woo!” And then remembered it was my first cycle if IVF not normal people cycles? Lol.

Got BFP second cycle trying, had a CP. This is our third cycle (so just had the CP last month), currently at 9DPO waiting to test!

I got pregnant the first cycle we tried (I was using OPKs and temping), had a miscarriage, and then got pregnant again the 2nd cycle after our miscarriage (I technically stilll had HCG in my system on my first cycle after my miscarraige but I counted it since it was like a normal period and I’m pretty sure I ovulated).

first pregnancy: 1st cycle – healthy daughter
second pregnancy: 12th cycle, resulted in a MMC at 8 weeks
third pregnancy: 4 cycles – healthy son
I’m all over the board

if you count our CP, we got pregnant on our 7th cycle (6th if you don’t count one where due to travel there was no chance we could’ve gotten pregnant).
still waiting for a sticky one.. so I personally haven’t voted because I don’t count the CP. I assume this question, whenever I see it, is how long did it take you to get pregnant with your take-home baby. Am I wrong in thinking that? I’m sincerely asking–I guess it makes me feel a bit better if these stats are pregnant with any baby, take-home or not. Kinda sucks being on cycle 8 knowing ~60% of women take 3 or less.

Our first was within the first cycle. Our second took 8 months and then I miscarried. Then I got pregnant again within the first cycle
