We arrived 2 days ahead. It’s really a matter of where you’re getting married, and if you’re having a legal wedding there. If so, there are time requirements. We got married at home first, so we could arrive whenever we wanted.

In the DR, you have to be there at least 3 days before the wedding.

We arrived on Saturday, planned the wedding on Sunday (it took about one hour), had a trial run for my hair on Monday and we got married on Wednesday. Spent the rest of the week with friends; then the second week was honeymoon.

We got married a couple hours from home so it was only a semi-destination. We arrived Wednesday night and got married Saturday. I needed every last second I had Thursday and Friday to get things settled but then again we had a ton of DIY elements (including food) that had to get done last minute.

We’re arriving on the 1st, and the wedding is the 4th. I have to coordinate with people on the ground, get shipments in and attend the rehearsal.

we married on a foreign tropical island so for our marriage to be legal we had to be in the country for 5 days prior to the marriage

We arrived 6 days before and I am so happy that we did. It was really nice to have a couple days to simply unwide because the two days before the wedding were really busy and not as relaxing. Plus it was really nice to share all the wedding excitement with everything for those days before.

Legally we have to be there 48 hours before we can get married there.  So wedding is on day 3!!

Our wedding is on a Friday and we are arriving Monday morning. I have a hard time adjusting to new beds & hotels so decided that we need lots of days of R&R.

we’re arriving on wednesday for a sunday wedding (also in the US, so no time requirements, just some preparations)
