I’ve been very clever and booked my wedding for the middle Monday of the Easter Holidays. I love being a teacher sometimes!
It means I get a week before to do any last minute prep and chill out, then a week afterwards to just sit around and enjoy being married. Good times!

I don’t work outside the house (sahm) but I answered for fi… he took 5 days. he gets 3 days I think for wedding leave and he took another 2 days for personal leave? We’re planning on doing 3-4 nights at an all inclusive resort for our Honeymoon so that will be cool. Our wedding is Sunday… so in total Fi will be off 9 days (including the 2 weekends). Sweet!

If I go back to work at my old job, I plan to take the Thursday & Friday off since I am getting married on the Saturday. And I have alot to do since doing a DIY wedding. Possible go back to work on the Monday or Tuesday.
Fiance will take off the Friday and Monday. He said he wants a long weekend haha

All this talk of time off, makes me wanna take some days now! woooo, good thing its a holiday weekend!!!
@Candicemh7 – you go girl with that hard earned PTO!! woo hoo
@Mrs. Fireworks – thats awesome that you are doing all of that. if I was DIYing all of that I would be tempted to take the year! I am doing 200 invites, custom guest bags, thank you cards for shower and programs and its getting a bit much, already! The DIY stuff is a brave new world for me, but I have been enjoying what I am getting into..fun stuff 🙂
@MissBMarie1428 – oh my gosh, your response made me crack up so hard. I can totally see my co-workers annoying the sh*t out of me like that. ..i think im going to have to take the whole week just to avoid some of that
@AllShookUp – I feel ya on the nails!
@mink – wooo hoo ms mink, the countdown is on!!
@Nellop – very clever! super smart indeed 🙂

Wednesday is a holiday and then I am taking off Thursday for the rehearsal and Friday for the wedding, back to work on Monday. We are postponing the honeymoon until the winter. Wish we could take more time but we are both contract/freelance.

I’ll be taking 3 days. The Monday of wedding week (my uncle is coming from Germany for the wedding, so I’m taking the day off to spend some time with him) and then Thursday and Friday (we are getting married 2 hours from our home, so we’ll go there and chill for two days). Can’t waiiitttt! 🙂

One of the benefits of working shift work….
I am taking off 8 days, which gives me 3.5 weeks off for the wedding. 1.5 weeks before and 2 weeks after.

I’m taking off 3 days before the wedding, so Tuesday will be my last day for our Sat Dec 1 wedding – and then I’m taking off the rest of the month for honeymooning and husband time!

I swear if my mouth had made the same sound my brain just did at reading ‘rest of month’ it would have sounded like arghglurghglugh. Awesome and good for you!

It works out that I have more than a month off, half before and half after the wedding. I don’t need that much time before the wedding but my department closes for the last few weeks of the summer. Then I have two weeks for the honeymoon after the wedding, so it ends up being more than a month off.

I just left my job of 7 years. I had planned on taking off 3 days before and 2 days after. But now I don’t need to worry about it. Fiance is taking off 1 day before and 2 after.

LOL! Thanks, I’m pretty excited, I have the time and December is a slow month for me so I thought, screw it! You only get married once 🙂

The Monday before our wedding is Labor day and I took the rest of the week off. Then I have the whole next week off plus the following Monday! I don’t think I’ve had that many days off since I was in HS! I can’t believe I’ll be leaving work on Aug 31 and not coming back until Sept 18th! It’s gonna be awesome!
