I have to work either Christmas eve or Christmas Day. I work at a gas station that never closes ever!! It’s frustrating sometimes.

I get the 25th, 26th, 31st and 1st off… so 4. That being said, I will be taking the 27th & 30th off at my own expense in order to have a consecutive week. Most people I know have between 1-2 weeks off!!

One day. Christmas day. If we have a good year they typically will give us Christmas Eve off as well. I saved up vacation so that I can take the whole week off. I also get New Year’s day off as well but by then I’m usually back at work for a day or two before that.

Darling Husband gets off from 12/24-1/2. However, they are forced to use 3 vacation days during that time. So I guess he technically gets 4 “holiday” days.

I’m taking 2 weeks. Not sure what we officially get but that’s what I get 😛

We get one day off, but most people take the whole week of Christmas off because it’s our slow time (which is what I’ll be doing).

My boss decides when to close the office each year depending on when the holidays fall. I’m currently on mat leave, so it doesn’t effect me. But, this year, my boss is closing the office at noon the 24th through January 2. My husband just has Christmas Day off. we both work in small offices.

As a preschool teacher I got a half day on Christmas Eve, and Christmas off!

I used to get more time off for Thanksgiving than I did for Christmas!

Another health care worker here! I’d do anything to get Christmas day off! Working Christmas eve again so I’ll spend the next day pretty much sleeping. Hopefully next year the plan is to be on maternity leave & get all the holidays off for once! Fingers crossed 🙂

Other – we have flexible holidays, so I have 10 days of paid time off per year. I think Christmas Eve and Christmas Day are two of them, but it might just be Christmas Day. My husband had to work both days (hospital RN) so ill probably work at least one of them and use my PTO some other day :/

I can take extra leave but the company only closes for 1 day.

@WhatMaeBee:  We all have keys and alarm codes for our school.  I know many schools (even in my district) who can’t go in without an administrator (one school all teachers have to leave by 4 each day).  I love that I can go in whenever!  I feel lucky about that, though sometimes I wonder if I’d be better about giving myself time not working if I couldn’t go in.  Hmmm…

I get Christmas Day, and I can’t take extra time off (despite having plenty of vacation accrued) because only one person from each group can be off at a time. I had to fight for the day after Thanksgiving, which means no extra time off for me at Christmas. Awesome.
