Fiance and I are both teachers and we get 3 weeks off this year. We will teach until this Friday (the 13th) and then we will be off until January 8th.
Before graduating we both worked retail while in college. So we were off from school but worked crazy hours in the Christmas season. We are so looking forward to this break and time with our families and friends!

I work at a university but I’m staff, not faculty, so we have to be here over break. It’s a pretty boring 3 weeks, but we have to work mostly because that’s when a lot of prospective students come for tours since they have the time off. We close at noon Christmas Eve, and have Christmas Day off. Luckily I have some vacation time so I am able to take the 23rd and the morning of the 24th as well.

I get Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve and New Years Day as holidays. I’m using extra vacation days around then. I’ll be off from the 21st to the 1st.

My husband only gets Christmas day as a paid holiday, otherwise he has to use his PTO. I don’t work, so I’m in charge of wrapping presents, cleaning, making dinner, baking, etc.

I think i just get christmas and new years. I can “work from home” that whole week though and we always get out early the day before holidays. That week is usually so slow that its a “come and go as you please” time. I’ll show up for a few hours in the afternoon a few of the days. But nothing big. Its usually really slow work wise around the holidays because most of our customers are off too.

We normally just get the day off, but my boss will likely let me go home early on Christmas Eve. Also he generally lets me take off whenever I want to and this year I am taking the two days after Christmas off too, because my husband has been gone for over 2 months and comes home Christmas Eve.

I’m a teacher, so I get a good Christmas break. The students have 13 days off, and teachers get 12 days off. We have 7 more days of school! Today was a snow day, and we’re expecting some possible snow days next week too, so it’s like the break is upon us.

Teacher here. We get 3 weeks at Christmas. But days without work…maybe 3? Have to plan new units to start when we get back.

I have a half-day on Christmas eve and then Christmas day…so 1.5. I’m taking PTO for the two days after this year!
