Make sure your car is covered. Sunburn is real!!!!

    Stay a week at least!

Hawaiian air is lovely, but you can build your own bookings too. Call hotels and ask if they price match the booking sites in prices.

huskylove9999:  Kihei is a bit closer, but quieter. Lahaina is lovely! We weren’t planning on a jeep, but we got a deal and it cost about the same as an economy car. We really enjoyed taking the tiop down and cruising around. It also had lots of room for groceries, which is how we ate most of breakfast and lunches, snacks etc. We’d always bring a picnic to the beach or park, and brought lots of food on our journey to Hana. I hope you can convince your Fiance to extend the trip for a few extra days!

my parents have a condo at Lahaina Shores, and I have been going to maui for 20yrs. Feel free to PM me for any further questions!

you should look at vrbo.com and check out lahaina shores. The studios are REALLY affordable for Hawaii, and you can walk into town (Lahaina) everyday. Many activities would be within walking distance also (whale watches/luau/snorkeling/fishing).

Def agree, go as long as you can. A trip to Hana is ALL DAY.
