I have a micropave halo and I just counted 24 diamonds in the halo. My cushion is 1.06 carat.

I just realized you said cushion. I do not have a cushion. I got too excited to show off my ring lol!

@Girasole:  Thanks!! I stare at it constantly. I figured after a couple weeks that the novelty would wear off, but no. 6 months later and I still droll over it!

@s2bmrscook:  I don’t see how you could ever be bored with your ring. it’s like a surprise everytime you look down lol

@Jasel311:  What size is the center stone? I am guessing that 16 points would mean the edges are more rounded and 20 would mean they are more square. Or it could mean that they are the same shape but a slightly bigger gap between the stone and the halo. OR it could mean that they are very tightly packed if you use 20 and slightly less tightly packed if you use 16. I would ask the jeweler.

@s2bmrscook:  Woman you are everywhere! lol!!

sorry i’m highjacking the thread.

I would post a pic of my e ring but I don’t think I match the qualifications. I only have 12 stones in my halo and I don’t think it’s a cushion.

I think it was you that was asking about apprasials and how much they cost. If it wasn’t you please disregard.

I think too you are in my area.

I just left Clarkston Diamond Jewelry on Dixie hwy in Clarkston, they are in the same building as the tanning salon.

The guy quoted me 40 on the phone and when I went in there he charged me 40 to appraise my e ring and my enhancer band. He wrote out the apprasial, gave me orginal and a copy and I was on my way in about 25 mins.

Just thought you would want to know because it seemed like a decent price.

@kazarmo:  Yep, that’s me! I got my ring from Ultra Diamonds at Great Lakes Crossing, and after I posted the thread I decided to call and ask if they did appraisals. I don’t know why I didn’t think of asking them sooner, but I digress. They appraise their products for free. So I got it taken care of lol.

@s2bmrscook:  If I could have another black diamond ring I would design it with yours in mind. I can’t get over how awesome it is. I wouldn’t do an exact replica because that  … would be…. just wrong ….but something similiar to especially enhance the black diamond.

I went into Ultra diamond a few months ago looking at their wedding bands. I never would have thought they would have black diamonds there.

@Jasel311:  halos with diamonds closer together look more appealing to me.  when they have fewer diamonds, it looks too sparse and incomplete.  besides, dirt will tend to get in between the cracks.

is your halo going to be claw set?  that will make a big difference too.
