How many did you invite to your wedding, and how many are you hoping will come? If you are married, how many actually came?
Just talked to a friend who had a destination wedding. She invited 300, wanted 175, got 220!
I’m also having a Destination Wedding. So far my list is 152 (but may add another 10 or so?) I’m hoping for 125-140.

Not married yet but I wanted 80. My parents invited 120. 115 people have RSVP’d yes :s
I’m hoping a few more will drop off closer to the date but I highly doubt it. My parents have called each and everyone of the guests to make sure that they are coming.

We invited 300 (knowing a lot of my family is out of town and not traveling). We were hoping for 225-250, but ended up at 215.

We invited about 40 people and there were 16 of us at the reception. It was a destination wedding. I was hoping for 20 but it didn’t happen.

We are inviting 188, but I think we’ll be lucky to get 75 (it’s a destination wedding and we already know that most of FH’s family won’t be able to make it, due to financial reasons).

We invited 220 (though only wanted to invite 210- Mother-In-Law had to keep adding)
I wanted no more than 190 to come (because it would have been tight on space!), preferred between 175-185.
We got 185 ‘yes’ rsvps, and about 178 people ended up coming.

Our venue only has 80 chairs (but room for 100 people…). We’re inviting 87 people….35 of those are in Britain, so it is highly likely that the majority will RSVP no. It is a risk, but I figure if all 87 RSVP yes then we will rent 7 chairs along with the tables we are already renting.

@prisigtr: we also have quite a few with financial issues so I don’t know what to expect… If I invite them all and they actually all come, I’d be he one with financial issues!

@waitingwonderland: Lol, true!! We will be paying for travel and hotel for FI’s parents and sister (who is also a BM). I actually really do hope more of FI’s side show because as it stands now, it’s just his groomsmen (and spouses) and immediate family that are attending, and I already feel bad that my side is much longer. We haven’t sent out invites yet, so we’ll see what happens!

We invited 220, were hoping for 150 and ended up with 125. Even though I was sad that some people couldn’t make it, it was such a managable number!!

We still are missing a few RSVPs but basically we wanted 100-110, invited 112, so far it seems about 95-99 will come, and we are using the very few extra seats to allow some people plus ones when they originally weren’t allowed due to space/money. We only invited the closest people in our lives whom we knew would do just about anything to make it to our wedding even though it’s semi-destination (or even destination) for almost everybody involved. Turns out we were right, we’ve had less than 10 declines, and most of those we knew were probabilities (grandmother in Turkey can’t fly due to health concerns)
