Honestly? That’s way too many plates. We have this set from target (well, 2 for 8 place settings):

I LOVE that 2nd set with the white and cobalt blue you posted. I feel like that one is casual enough and fancy enough to double as everyday and company plates. I would pick your favorite of the 3 you posted and just register for those.

I registered for one nice set that doubles for everyday use but can be used for dinner parties too.  In total, it’s a 8 piece set.

Oh, and I found that my husband is actually attached to some of his things from his “bachelor days.”  I personally wouldn’t get rid of your SO plate’s unless he agrees….

We have 6 settings of our current dinnerware. We used to have 8 but 2 settings have broken over the years.

We registered for 8 settings of a new design (that I am sooooo excited about). We mixed and matched pieces from this setting with pieces from this setting.

I agree with zipplylef though, it does seem like you’ll have an awful lot of dishes. Unless you plan to have the Duggers over for dinner, I don’t think you’d ever need that many.

I plan on eventually having service for 8 of everyday dinnerware and service for 12 of a nicer china for holidays and dinner parties. I don’t expect to get all of this from my registry so that’s why I say “eventually.” 🙂

We registered for a similar number of dishes but it includes a set of china . . .

If you’re not registering for china and these are your ‘everyday’ dishes it seems like a lot (if I read that wrong I appologize!)  One piece of advice I received from various people was to register for one or two more settings than you’ll actually want/need as replacements for anything that breaks.
