1. I tried on 8 others at my appointment to be sure, but the first one was it 🙂

Have fun dress shopping! I loved it so much!

I think I tried on maybe 4 at Davids Bridal and hated every single one of them. Then I tried on 4-5 at BHLDN and loved every single one of them. I actually orginally ordered the second one I tried on at BHLDN because my mom loved it but the next day when I was looking at pics of myself in the dresses I changed my mind and ordered the one I had liked from the start.

I bought the first one I tried because I had already done all the research online. It fit perfectly, no alterations needed!

I tried on 4 dresses but knew the second one I tried was the one I would end up getting the moment I put it on.

I’m quite different from PPs. I had three appointments and tried on around 10ish dresses at each one. My first appointment was a little more unique though because the style I thought I wanted didn’t compliment my body type at all. Second appointment my consultant was terrible and just kept pulling the same style of dress I told her I didn’t like. The third appointment I had finally narrowed down what I wanted and had a good consultant, and tried on around 12-15 dresses at that appointment before picking the last dress I put on!

Went searching with an open mind but for a designer I loved, fell in love with a different designer’s dresses and bought the very first one (of many) I tried on! 🙂 I did however pull ideas from other dresses I liked and customized my dress to be everything I could dream up!

I think about 12 dresses between two salons in one day.

About 10. I went to David’s Bridal first to get an idea of what shape I wanted (tried 4 on). The found my dress online and fell in love with the picture and found a boutique near me that carried it. At the boutique it was the first one I tried on but then I tried about five others just to confirm that it was the one. Then I tried it back on and had the teary moment with my mom and some champagne to celebrate.

About 50 and to my surprise the one i fell in love with was on the preloved shelf in a family run business. So unexpected but as my mum keeps saying ‘your dress will look more beautiful than Meghan Markle’s’ *roll eyes*. I get married a week after her.

I don’t remember, but it felt like a lot (was only between two shopping trips though, so maybe not as many as other bees?)  The first visit was a smaller boutique that had NOTHING I was looking for.  I may have tried on 4 dresses?

A week later, went to a national chain store.  I had favorited some dresses online and the consultant pulled those as well as others.  First dress, was a maybe and set aside.  Tried on… 10, maybe?  Some I liked the top but not the bottom, or vice versa, or not really feeling it.  Tried on dress #1 again, asked for a veil, and the waterworks started.

Got that dress.  Only took a week to come in – so this was Dec 2016 or Jan 2017.  Wedding is this June.  Yeah, hung in my closet (in a garment bag!) for a year.  Picking up from alterations next week and hoping everything is hunky-dory – though I feel good about where I brought the dress, just hoping I don’t need multiple fittings!

No dress regret, thankfully.  I didn’t expect to find it less than two months after engagement and over a year and a half before the big day.  I was afraid of regret of NOT getting it because I loved it and didn’t know how long they’d be selling!

I will say I had a little… not regret, but wondering if I made a mistake, when I went to get it altered at the store I got it from and was told they couldn’t do what I was requesting because it changed “the style of the dress.”  (It had cap sleeves and I wanted sleeveless so I could freely move my arms for dancing!) Other brides reviewed the dress and said they had the same alterations!  So when I left the store, I worried, but going to the other alterations store eased my mind and I can’t wait to see how it fits now!

I think I tried 4 but knew which one I wanted almost immediately and went to the store specifically for that one.

I am currently deciding between the first one I tried on and also the first one I sent my friends and mom a photo of as soon as I got engaged. That was probably the 10th or so that I tried on but a lot of the dresses in the middle were only picked to try different silhouettes, not because I liked them.

I would have tried on a million dresses and hated them all if I didn’t do lots of research before hand and ruled out most of the bridal shops around me.
