I tried on well over 30 dresses before I found the one. And I didn’t find the one until my fifth or sixth store. I tried on a few more after finding my dream dress, which just solidified the choice in my mind. 🙂

In other words, don’t get discouraged. 🙂

I don’t believe in “the one” dress.  I mean I found a dress that feels and looks great, as perfect as it can be but it wasn’t clouds departing for glorious sunbeams to kiss my face.  I think the notion of “the one” dress is overly romanticized.  I probably tried on 10-15 dresses at various bridal salons.

I made five trips to four different stores, tried on at least 60 dresses, and didn’t find one I loved.  Then I went online and there it was!  🙂  I’d recommend trying on at least a few different dresses and “sleeping on it” before making the decision… just in case!

I made four trips to two different stores.  I’m not sure how many dresses I tried on at each appointment – probably 5-10 each time.

I tried on around 30 dresses before I found the one and then since it was the first dress at the last store, I tried on a few more but it just solidified my decision! I was honestly at the point where I thought maybe I just wouldn’t get the ‘feeling’ but then I did! Don’t worry, just have fun trying on really pretty dresses, don’t get stressed out and eventually you will find it!

I tried on a total of 6 dresses – the ONE was #4!

About 8, and then I thought I found “the” dress. I thought I should wait to buy it, though, just in case, and I’m so glad I did! A friend of mine had kind of a ‘bummer” response to it and she said, “Maybe you can keep looking.” I was sort of insulted but she was so right – the dress wasn’t me at all! I then was getting ideas online and became obsessed with the one I eventually purchased just from seeing the picture. I hunted it down after calling stores in 4 states across the region, and finally found it for a reasonable price. It seemed perfectly “me”!

I tried on 6 total, but the one I bought was the second one I tried on.

7 trips, about 40-50 dresses.  In the stores where I tried on more than 6 or so…they all blended together which didn’t help at all.  And halfway through the process, I changed my idea of what I was looking for which was a good thing.  My consultant says I tried on MY dress the first time I visited the store, but I don’t think I did.  If I did, my entourage was the reason I didn’t like it at first.  The second time I saw it, I knew as soon as I saw it on the hangar.  I ended up buying my dress totally by myself.  It helped to know that I was the one who loved it without any other opinions.

I tried on about 15-20 dresses and I went to three different places.  I think my dress is beautiful and much better then other dresses yet I kind of feel like I could have found a different dress that I liked more if I would have kept looking.

@Miss Tattoo: Do you feel like you already found your dream dress?

@Miss Tattoo:  Well I’ve always believed in shopping around.  If the first one really is “the one” then trying on the other dresses will only make you more confident in your choice.  Once you’ve made the purchase though, don’t look back!
