I have begun looking for my wedding dress. I have been to five different places and have probably tried on at least thirty dresses. I just haven’t found the one yet. Is this common? I didn’t think I would have to look so hard.
How many dresses you you ladies try on before you found ‘the one’?

I think I tried on around 30 dresses and traveled to three different states to do so! I think it is very common and when you find “the one” you will know! Don’t worry about it just stay committed and it will all work out in the end!

With my experience, I knew my dress was the one before I even tried any on because I researched and found it online and then found the store that carried it. That being said, I still wanted to make sure and wanted to have that “bridal experience” so I continued to try on about 15-20 dresses! It was harder than I thought and I loved them all lol but I still knew my original favorite was the one and I ending up picking it.
It is really easy to get overwhelmed, stressed, and caught up in the whole business of trying on gowns so you really have to breathe and really focus on what you like, don’t like, and absolutely love. I had a hard time eliminating any because they were just all so gorgeous in different ways so it’s good to have a great consultant and/or a family member or friend that has your best interests in mind and keeps you on track.
For me, I tried on a bunch but I stuck to one store in one weekend. Before you try on anymore, think about what you already have and see if you can make a top 5 with things you like and dont like and/or ones that could possibly see yourself in.
Hang in there, you will find your “one” 🙂 *hugs*

It took me about 20 dresses until I found the one. It’s normal, you’ll find it 😉

I think I tried on somewhere between 20 – 30 but honestly, only eight of them were real contenders. The others were all pretty bad as soon as they were zipped up and therefore immediately unzipped!

I tried on about 5 at JCrew, and liked 2 of them. My dress was the 3rd one I tried on at the 2nd store, a more traditional wedding boutique. I tried on a few more at that store, just to make sure, but honestly I’d loved it as soon as I saw it on the internet a few weeks before.

I went to one bridal shop. I was there four about 3-4 hours. Not sure how many I tried on, but it was probably 20 or 30. The first 5 were just to see which styles I liked. I immediately narrowed it down to one style. (I love the idea of ballgown but I had to narrow it down… so dropped hip it was). Anyway, after that they kept bringing my style our but tweaking it here and there. I didn’t like all the fluff so my consultant began to realize that and brought out the perfect one 🙂 Yay!
